There is a symbolic meaning behind it, Chandrakor is similar to one's mind. The mind changes like the different phases of the Moon. One should overcome from these phases like consciousness, illusion, sound sleep. First three phases of mind are Jagruti, Swapna and Sushupti. The fourth phase of mind is 'Turiya' which is beyond the first three phases. Spiritual phase is the fourth phase of mind. Crescent Moon is the symbol of spiritual fourth phase. One can reach this fourth phase by worshipping Lord Ganesha.
